Matthew Settle
Advisory Board
Actor
Many will know Matthew Settle from his role as Ron Speirs in the HBO series Band of Brothers. In that role, Settle helped bring one of the most remarkable stories of American military history to audiences around the world. His portrayal of the legendary Easy Company officer introduced millions of viewers to the courage, sacrifice, and extraordinary experiences of the men who fought during World War II.
During his visit to The Gettysburg Museum of History, Matthew's keen eye and thoughtful insights instantly made themselves known to us. His passion for history and interest in bringing together various historic entities fall right in line with our values and makes him a perfect fit for the board. His spot on the Board of Advisors alongside other Band of Brothers cast members Dale Dye and Matthew Leitch advances our mission to preserve historic artifacts, share the stories behind them, and ensure that future generations understand the sacrifices and experiences of those who came before us.
We are honored to welcome Matthew Settle to our team and look forward to working together to keep history alive!
